LT Series speaker assemblies provide quality performance, unobtrusive appearance, and easy installation in suspended ceiling applications. Systems include a choice of factory wired driver mounted to a fine perforated grille (1' x 2' or 2' x 2') with wired transformer and factory mounted 0.8cu.ft. acoustic backbox. They are shipped ready to install and require no speaker cutouts in the tile or time consuming assembly. 1' x 2' Systems are supported by the T-Bar grid and include an integral T-Bar support (US patent #7,120,269 and #D46,579) for fast installation when replacing half of a 2' x 2' tile or one quarter of a 2' x 4' tile. Systems include a speaker/ transformer assembly mounted to a 1' x 2' subplate with a fine-perforated grille, integral T-Bar, and Lowell’s premounted point8 (.8 cu.ft.) volume backbox with acoustic lining for extended low frequency performance. For installation convenience speaker leads exit the backbox through a metal clamp. Simply splice connecting wires and push them completely inside enclosure and tighten the clamp. 2' x 2' Systems are designed to replace a standard 2' x 2' tile and are supported by the T-bar grid. They include a factory wired speaker/transformer mounted to a 2' x 2' subplate with a fineperforated grille and mounted point8 (.8 cu.ft.) acoustic backbox. The backbox is offset to one side of the 2' x 2' grille allowing it to be rotated in the ceiling to install around plenum obstructions. For fast connection, speaker leads exit through a metal clamp. Simply splice connecting wires and push them completely inside enclosure and tighten the clamp. System Drivers include Lowell's A Series premium coaxial driver Model 8A50 (8" 50W) and commercial industry standard coaxial Model CT830 (8" 20W). Model 8A50 is engineered to provide excellent power handling and smooth musical sound for use in up-scale restaurants, lounges, hotel lobbies, department stores, and boutiques where a positive consumer listening experience is key to customer satisfaction. Model CT830 is ideal for high quality commercial applications where a 20W coaxial driver is specified. Architectural Grilles feature a fine perforated pattern for a clean unobtrusive appearance. Grilles are engineered to provide maximum free-air space for excellent speaker sound transmission while achieving virtually invisible presentation of the speaker in new or exiting tile ceilings. 1' x 2' grilles include an integral two-foot T-bar to support neighboring tile; 2' x 2' grilles simply replace a 2' x 2' tile. All are formed from perforated steel and finished in white powder epoxy for long lasting appearance.
